Domain Expired: How to Restore and What to Do

Your domain expired and the site is down. Don't panic — in most cases the domain can still be restored. Speed is everything.

Post-Expiration Stages

1. Grace Period (0–45 days)

The site stops working but the domain still belongs to you. Renewal is available at the standard price in your client area.

2. Redemption Period (30 days)

No one else can register the domain, but a special restore procedure is required. Cost: $50–200 depending on the zone. Contact ZevsHost support.

3. Pending Delete (5 days)

Restoration is no longer possible. After 5 days the domain is released and available to anyone.

⚠️ Critical: Domains in Pending Delete are captured by automated drop-catching systems within milliseconds of release. You have almost no chance without a dedicated drop-catching service.
💡 Lesson for the future: Enable auto-renewal and add a backup email address for renewal notifications.
