Connecting a Domain to Hosting: Complete Guide

After registering a domain and buying hosting, you need to connect them. There are two methods: change NS servers (recommended) or update the A record.

Method 1: Change NS Servers (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your domain registrar panel
  2. Find NS Servers / Nameservers section
  3. Replace with ZevsHost NS servers:
    ns1.zevshost.net
    ns2.zevshost.net
  4. In ZevsHost cPanel, add the domain: Addon Domains

Method 2: Update A Record

Use this if you want to keep DNS at the registrar (e.g., Google Workspace mail is configured there).

@ IN A YOUR.HOSTING.IP
www IN A YOUR.HOSTING.IP
💡 Monitor propagation: Use whatsmydns.net to track DNS propagation worldwide — you don't need to wait 48 hours blindly.
⚠️ Common mistake: Domain added to cPanel but NS still pointing to the old registrar. Or NS updated but domain not added to cPanel. Both steps are required.
