Migrating Email When Switching Hosting
When moving to a new host, it's important not to lose existing email. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Create Mailboxes on the New Host
In ZevsHost cPanel, go to Email Accounts and create the same mailboxes as on your old hosting.
Step 2: Configure Your Email Client
Use Thunderbird or Outlook to connect to both servers (old and new) via IMAP.
Step 3: Copy Your Emails
- Add both accounts to your email client
- Select all emails in the folders of your old account
- Drag (or copy) them to the new account's folders
Step 4: Update MX Records
After copying emails, update your domain MX records to ZevsHost DNS. New emails will arrive at the new server.
