Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE) is a professional open-source virtualization platform developed by Proxmox Server Solutions (Austria). Version 9 (2025) is based on Debian 13 (Trixie) and provides two virtualization types: full hardware virtualization (KVM) and containerization (LXC).
